When Would REVIEW COURSES adjust their practice sims??

Because the sims on the exam is surely not comparable to what they provide and they charge so much to still have outdated material

I agree. It's kind of a ripoff. I'm sure it's why a lot of people have been failing.

Sims could test on anything and in any many different ways. I think the review providers feel that times spent on concepts and mcqs is better.

I'm not certain what you expect. There's a limited number of sims on each exam but they can cover literally hundreds of topics. It's impossible for a review course's sims to mirror the actual exam unless they have knowledge of what's going to be on it. And sims that the AICPA has released aren't likely to be tested in the future, unlike MCQ which will be covered at some point in some fashion.

The sims cover the exact same material as the MCQs. As long as you're familiar with the MCQs, you should do well on the sims.

The pass rates are the same as they were pre-Q2 for the most part.

The AICPA doesn't give out the “new” sims so the best the providers can do is get you prepared conceptually.

I felt as if the SIMS from Roger were pretty similar to those from the examZ

I understand that the Sims cannot be exactly the same, but geeze some of us haven't worked in Tax for a year or 2. As a result, we get a Sims on our REG Exam and we think WTF is this? For example, I had 3 Sims on my exam that were barely covered from Becker. Literally 3-4 simple MCQ's and a paragraph or 2 in my book per Sim. I double checked – no lie. So it's really frustrating to put in all those hours and literally have 3 or more Sims that were barely, barely touched by our Review Course – good ol' Becker. The only candidates who would know how to answer those Sims are candidates who have actually done the Tax computations in the real world. I think it's really unfair, but crying like a baby won't do anything about it. I'm going to hit up the IRC so I know what the hell to do next go round on REG if I receive similar Sims.

Sorry for the rant, but I had the same experience and found is extremely frustrating. I paid $3,500+ for Becker and I expect them to update their materials accordingly.

Goodluck everyone. Crying session over! Lol.

@bluecollar same experience in my REG exam , I had many MCQs not covered by Becker and also one complete sim had no idea about it , I'm sure I answered the whole sim wrong , but I was lucky enough that was the only sim I never seen before , all rest of the sim was covered by Becker but not the details of them so I had to guess on some , also I had 4 DRS! it's sad how we study hard and get disappointed exam day.
I'm lucky I passed it finally after failing it once before

The point Is not to get an exact sim that I have seen during review but to get familiar with having a lot of documents to sort through.

This is the one gripe on the board that I simply don't understand. The only preparation I did relating to sims was look at the AICPA practice sims and read the answers. I always felt like I was prepared for the sims leaving the exam even though I didn't practice them.

To me instead of making excuses you should take accountability for needing to better understand the material.
