Bachelor's – somewhere around 3.2-3.6 probably. I went to 5 schools total and the final school counted everything pass/fail except what you took from them, so my official GPA is a 4.0 since I got 4.0 at my final school, but I know there were a good few B's and maybe one C from the other schools. 😉 Freshman year was 3.5, Sophomore was 4.0, after that I was jumping around doing a hodge-podge of courses to complete the rest of my degree debt-free, so I'd have to sit down and figure it up from all the sources.

I'd like to get an MBA someday and would aim for 3.5+ for that, just because my undergrad GPA is somewhat non-existent.,

BS: 2.94 (Industrial & Systems Engineering)

    MBA: 3.7-3.9, I really don't remember

@Gian, thanks for pointing out schools like GT and Berkeley. I went to GT and 3.0 was Dean's List!

    B.S Finance ~ 2.7 overall ~3.4 major

    B.B.A Accounting 4.0

I played baseball and world of Warcraft pretty hardcore during the first 3 of 5.5 years of by B.S. My motto was C's get degrees. Having gone to a small private school no one has heard of and having a pretty awful GPA, its no surprise I was finding myself in a situation with no good job opportunities and no good employers willing to hire me.

I wanted to be a financial planner. I had interviewed with all the local shops and even offered to work for free to gain experience. No one was willing to help me other than provide advice. I spoke with one person in Atlanta who had gone to the same school I had and he suggested taking H&R block's tax training course. So, I did that and enjoyed it. They offered me a job for the upcoming tax season which I did and enjoyed.

So after doing that I decided to go back and get a second degree in accounting. I had originally planned to double major so I had a few accounting courses under my belt. This time around I went to a much larger non private school. As you can see I put a lot more effort into classes and really enjoyed them. Got an internship, got a full time job offer, CPA license and was just promoted to senior after 1.5 years. I'm also sitting for the CFP exam next year.

Reflecting back, I was never really a sub 3 GPA student. I always took pride in school before going to college and was even competitive about it. Never liked to score bad at anything. I think the hardcore gaming took that away from me. I even sucked at baseball and it didn't bother me. I honestly remember thinking to myself “I hope I don't have to pitch.” The 17 yo me would have never even thought that. He would have been pissed to not be given the ball with the base loaded and no one out in a tie call game.

I'd also like to point out that my wife and I had our only child the month before I went back to school. Not sure what we were thinking at the time. It has made things a lot more challenging but that it one thing about my past I wouldn't change.

@Cuzz I too was an MMO player (ffxi, not wow) for my first college degree and just floated through with a 2.65.. and 745 days playtime..

Now only 4 classes left in my B.S. Accounting degree (Governmental/NFP, Speech, Business Strategy, Financial Management) and hoping to keep my 4.0. Bet I get an A- in Speech though.. I hate classes that aren't objectively graded.

The 4.0 is not giving me any more confidence for the exam though..

I graduated with a 3.2. My upper division accounting courses were extremely difficult… I wonder if I'd do better now?? I did just do a bunch of those UNA classes to make up needed units and I think on those I got an average 2.2… Granted I really didn't care too much about my grade and I was just trying to get them done for the summer term. I did hardly any of the homework.

I agree with the others at some point your GPA becomes irrelevant.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

Was kind of disappointed in myself for the 3.4 with my masters, but was planning a wedding and taking the CPA exam at the same time. So I can deal 🙂

My undergraduate GPA was around 3.3.. which isn't great. However, both the company I had an internship with and the company I currently work full time for had a minimum 3.5 GPA requirement… I applied anyways and got both.

Your experience and personal skills carry a lot more weight than GPA in my opinion.

damn! yall are smart. I chased girls in college and cared more about getting hammered then studying. in fact, the only reason I would go to the library is to check out the chicks. it came back to bite me in the behind when I had to figure out how I learn best in order to pass these exams

2.72 from mother Russia and 3.83 here in US. It's much easier when you don't have verbal exam system, or what is it called, when you are face to face with the examiner

B.S. was around a 3.6 (double majored in accounting and management)

MBA was like a 3.95 (my final class, a dumb elective, was my only B)

I definitely agree that after your first job, GPA is completely irrelevant.
