I don’t know if all is bothering me today but talking o a friend, he said this stuff was “easy”. Of course he has other designation but not this one.

Why people talk about things without thinking?

@BobRossfan71 At some point I thought what say : why he is saying this? probably inside of him, he is insecure about his CMA designation and always wanted to be a CPA and he just couldnt! 😀 HA!!!

By the way, and I don't want to offend any one here, but are the CMAs required in the job market like the CPAs??

I barely see job adds with CMA titles, but probably I'm not in the right places….

Just ignore anyone that thinks the CPA exam is “easy”. Like any professional certification, it is most certainly is not easy. We paid with time, sweat, and sometimes tears.

I have a new colleague that got a city college certificate in accounting that thinks the CPA exam is easy and those 48 units that allows him to sit for the exam is enough to get him past it if he chooses to take the exam.

My boss also thinks the CPA exam is a walk in the park. He said, ” it should be easy. I taught managerial accounting, so I should pass it without any difficulty.”

Neither of them has no idea I passed it and fulfilled the 150 units. I just play dumb and let him think whatever he wants.

Depends..

If they say it's “easy” and actually have their license, then it wouldn't bother me.

If they say it's easy and don't have the cpa license (regardless of any other cert/degree they might have) then all of the above lol
