I don’t know if all is bothering me today but talking o a friend, he said this stuff was “easy”. Of course he has other designation but not this one.

Why people talk about things without thinking?

Depends on his definition of ‘easy'. This stuff isn't rocket science. It is easy, just time consuming. Then again, you can kind of say that about anything after spending enough time on it. He has a CMA so I would think he has some idea of what he is talking about rather than just shooting his mouth off, assuming he feels the same way about the CMA.

I wouldn't say topics like derivatives and hedging instruments, corporate AMT, auditing transaction cycles, equivalent units of production, and relevant IFRS standards are easy…but that's just my opinion.

I get that all the time where I work.

I am literally surrounded by a bunch of PhD's at work and some of them are taking their PE exams that they need to take.

So when I fail the CPA exam, I am told I should work harder as its a easy exam to pass and how can I not know how i did in the exam.(They are comparing it to their PhD's)

I just ignore them. Infact, now I don't even tell them when my exam is. I just say ya studying for my exam.. its next year sometime then…. God knows when…

Thank God my husband is supportive (He is a PhD too lol) Yep! I am literally surrounded by PhD's – at work and in my personal life..All my husbands friends are PhD's and my first cousins too 🙁
