Intermediate II. The entire class was based off of 2 tests. No homework, no quizzes. Just lecture then midterm and final.

    CPA, CFE

I gotta agree with other commenters on Auditing. To this day, I still don't fully grasp the concepts. I understood the material, but whenever I faced questions it was always about the “best answer” in a pool of “right answers.” Confused me like insane.

Advanced Accounting was the only one I could not make an A in because it was a combination of difficult, had a hard to understand book, insane journal entries, etc. Oh, and I took it in the summer over mini-semester that was only 8 weeks long. 3 of the 8 class meetings were for exams so it was taught over 5 weeks in a 4 hour class. I actually got lucky because the professor who normally teaches it at our university is a dinosaur that fails 50-60% of the class by design. That summer a cost accounting professor taught it and said on day 1 that his goal was getting us to pass the CPA exam at some point and not to boost his own ego by failing people. If you did the work you would pass his class but he was not going to give you a C for just showing up.

Anyway, the final exam was not cumulative and covered partnership accounting heavily. That was an easy topic and he designed it to help boost your grade if you stuck it out. People who dropped the class never knew about it. I aced the final and got a huge boost. I think I was at a D+ or C- going into the final.

Intermediate II is a very hard class as well with TONS of work you have to do to know what is going on. Capital Leases, Bond Amortization, and St. of Cash Flows is difficult material. I had a great instructor but he would throw in unfriendly numbers like .89444 as the PV of the MLPs to really test you.

Tax was hard and after REG, it definitely reflects how hard this class is still for me. Hopping for a miracle~~~

For sure my grad level Advanced Accounting class. The class pretty much was FAR but the teacher wasn't very good. Oddly several months later I saw her name as one of the contributors for the Becker FAR book… I just about tell over laughing! She couldn't teach the FAR topics well but she was helping to create the FAR book…

    AUD - 72, 81
    FAR - 71, 78
    REG - 60, 78
    BEC - 60, 71, 71

IF I FALL, I WILL GET BACK UP. IF I AM BEATEN, I WILL RETURN.

Intermediate II for me. That class was rough. I honestly loved all of my other accounting classes, including cost accounting and tax haha.

Although, I did take Audit as a 3-week summer class, in which the professor spent most of his time telling us inventory observation stories and other random audit stories. I don't think I learned much, and auditing in real life is nothing like that class.. Good times right there.

    REG - 86 (4/11/15)
    BEC - 92 (5/29/15)
    AUD - 99 (7/23/15)
    FAR - 89 (11/23/15) It's over!!!

Intermediate accounting 2 was the worst. That was the only accounting class that I dropped and took a W. I got a horrific grade on the first exam. I was so in shock because I had studied so much for that exam. Then to rub it in the professor made a big hoopla and gave some CPA exam review book as a prize to the girl with the best score. This professor had rather harsh reviews on ratemyprofessor. Another guy who was teaching it also had bad reviews. Originally I had tried to get into the one decent professor's section but it was all full. The following semester only those horrible professors were teaching it. So I had to wait until summer to take it with the better/easier professor. I also thought it would be better that way since my whole semester wouldn't be ruined by f'n intermediate 2.

I liked cost accounting and accounting information systems. Audit, tax, and government weren't bad either. In general, I prefer managerial accounting. It's more intuitive. Financial accounting doesn't really make sense to me. Much of it seems like a bunch of arbitrary rules written for the benefit of corporations. I've never taken advanced accounting.

I had a hard time in Governmental Accounting, Tax Accounting, and Advance Accounting.

Advanced Financial Accounting was brutal. Intermediate 2 was the weed out class for most people, but I felt almost weeded out in fourth year advanced. When I took it again in my Masters program, I suffered through it again, doing no better. Thankfully, I have to learn it all again while studying for FAR, but at least it is not as detailed. I am a little worried though

    FAR - 07/07/2016 - 81
    BEC - 08/23/2016
    AUD - 10/05/2016
    REG - 11/23/2016

Intermediate Accounting II. My Professor was insanely hard and I earned a B- (lowest accounting grade). The 3 class average exam scores with No Curve were 72, 69, and 67 respectively. I don't miss that Professor at all! Also, prior to this class we were never really exposed to such comprehensive accounting problems. Financial, Managerial, and Intermediate I were a joke compared to my Intermediate II. But, those professors were definitely not as challenging and built relationships with their students unlike my intermediate II professor.

Accounting Information Systems was my most challenging. Professor was a Chuck Norris fanatic and a total goob who is now department chair. Never told us how much of that material would show up on Audit and BEC exams. I never understood a word the guy wrote or spoke.

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2
