My cat who never craps outside her litterbox took a crap right in the living room on the carpet at 9AM and I had to clean it up. For the rest of the day I keep smelling crap even when I went to take my exam at 12:30PM.
August 22, 2013 at 5:38 pm #433945gobiasMembercrapped myself three times during the exam…

B - 91August 22, 2013 at 6:32 pm #433947vanadium3MemberMy exam computer crashed. I took a break before the REG sims. Came back, computer won't let me in. I ended up re-taking REG and failed of course. I made a 53 that time without the sims, so if I were to get half the sims right I'd probably passed..
But….I'm done now.

August 22, 2013 at 6:41 pm #433948AnonymousInactiveThe testing center was full of people taking MCAT exams when I took BEC. Some punk kept slamming their hands down on the desk and it shook the entire row of cubicles. I said something to the Prometric administrator and they said they could make a notation in my file. Gee, thanks, Prometric. I was hoping for something more like pausing my timer so that I could punch that person in the face.
August 22, 2013 at 6:47 pm #433949AnonymousInactiveI took FAR at the Prometric Center in Penn Plaza and of course I sat right under the air conditioning/vent system so every ten minutes it sounded like a space ship was blasting off and i would freeze.

August 22, 2013 at 6:57 pm #433951AnonymousInactiveMy last exam was apparently on the same day as a bunch of people taking a typing-intensive exam. First time I have used the headphones…and because I had dressed for a different event on the morning of my exam, I was wearing earrings which were a bit too big to fit properly under the headphones. However, the guy had been real strict in mentioning the various things you can't take off (including shoes – I was wearing high-heels which I would never wear for comfort at an exam…) so I was slightly concerned that they'd get upset if I took off my earrings. But I finally gave in – the earrings were a gift from my love, and I didn't want them crushed…and they were digging into my head and hurting…so I set them up near the keyboard and I don't think they were noticed! Hopefully it wasn't against the rules too much lol. I guess theoretically you could write notes on earrings…? Though these are about 1/16″ wide, so I'd have to have a magnifying class to read anything!

One time i took a break to go to the bathroom and didnt realize we needed a code, i almost went on myself until i saw someone go in the bathroom i went behind them……

August 22, 2013 at 7:37 pm #433953TDKRParticipantMidway through my 2nd testlet on an Audit exam, my stomach was giving me trouble. After 10 minutes of trying to compress it, I failed, and had to rush through the rest of that testlet to run to the restroom. Coming back from the restroom, the proctor made a comment “that was a long break.” I was so close to explain what happened in excruciating details so that she would not be able to enjoy her lunch that day…but I decided against it.
On my 2nd REG exam, the building decided to test the fire alarm on floor 8 (Prometric is on 2nd floor!!). 4-5 times throughout my exam, I would hear (alarm) “this is just a test, this is a just a test. We are testing the fire alarm system on 8th floor.” I probably would've gotten my much needed 3 points if it wasn't for those stupid fire alarm test
REG - 72, 72, 81
BEC - 77
FAR - 70, 81
AUD - 74 "so that's what it feels like." Round 2: 79Passing the exam is not impossible task. GIVING UP is the only way YOU can make it impossible!

@Lilla your comment about earrings reminded me of a prometric gripe I neglected to post in the thread referenced above!
I am extremely careful to follow the rules about jewelry (I have been compared to Mr. T by friends) at prometric and never wear any when I test. When I sat for REG, the prometric troll began reading me the riot act about no jewelry and such. I glanced at my wrists, checked my ears and neck, and looked at my hands but the only jewelry that I had on was my wedding set!!!
She informed me that it was against the rules and I needed to either LEAVE IT WITH HER or put it in a locker (that I'm sure all have a master key for the locks). My jaw dropped and I snapped that there was no way in hell I was leaving my engagement ring+wedding bands in her possession, but I would go lock them in my car if it was an issue. She snapped back that I was not allowed to go back to my car and she would report me to the state board if I did! I replied that I would report her to the AICPA if she insisted on “hanging on” to $XX,XXX of my personal property that was not expressly prohibited on my NTS. The NTS specifically reads “large earrings or pendants” in regards to jewelry. At that point she looked like she had swallowed a bug and said that I could put my wedding set in my pants pocket to test. Needless to say it rattled my cage tremendously and I ratted her out by name in the survey after the exam!
I have never worn my wedding set again to prometric, and now my husband thinks its hysterical to tease that I'm really going to prometric to pick up strange men on exam days! 😉

August 22, 2013 at 10:28 pm #433956AnonymousInactiveWow! I actually didn't realize that they could gripe about jewelry like that! I don't wear “big” jewelry to start with (the “bigger” earrings I was wearing are still one of the lightest pair of earrings I've ever worn, so you know they're not huge!), but that's absolutely ridiculous to want you to take off your wedding rings! I would've been mad, too. I also doubt that you're not allowed to go to your car before you've entered the exam. I could be wrong, but I doubt that's really a problem! I dunno, though – I just remembered the parts of the rules that I had any danger of violating (which was pretty much none).
August 22, 2013 at 10:39 pm #433957AnonymousInactiveI'm a dude and I wore my wedding band and my diamond stud earring the day of my exam. They said nothing. I even asked them should I take it off. They said no.
August 22, 2013 at 11:20 pm #433958JferjameyParticipantMintsRGood, she sounds shady to me. I wore my wedding bands in both times and no one questioned it.

August 22, 2013 at 11:55 pm #433959MintsRGoodParticipant@CPA and Jfer, I want to test at your prometric! I only take my rings off in the shower (and now for prometric), so I always feel instant panic if they aren't on my hand!
It was very shady indeed and I wasn't having any of it! It was unnerving and made me very uncomfortable. Yeah right lady…I'm going to just hand them over and I'm SURE you'll be here in 4 hours when I get done. Right. I was fully prepared to walk out without testing and file a complaint with the AICPA and she knew it. She was bizarre and confrontational and luckily I didn't see her for Audit or BEC. I hope her crazy/shifty a$$ got fired and I better not see her next week for FAR!!!!!
Again..prometric sucks.
