There were a couple majors that have job security. I was thinking about nursing, accounting, cs and engerning. I am not good at physics, and don't have the passion for engerning, so it is out. Cs is boring for me, I don't think I am good at coding. Being a nurse, I have to deal with blood and wear uniforms everyday, there is no way that I want to do it. So, accounting seems like the perfect choice, I like money, I like to dress up, I am good with math, so I picked accounting.

I was good at math, took Calc & Statistics in HS. I am a pretty practical person. I thought I could help businesses make decisions with a practical mindset. Accounting is about as practical as it gets.

Originally I chose it thinking it might be something I'd be good at because I've always liked math and am a bit OCD. I loved my intro accounting classes (nerdy, I know) and that's when I knew I was in the right place. I can honestly say that I enjoy my job most days. I work in audit and I just love most aspects of it. Not sure how I would have liked tax. Who knows 🙂
