I generally test around 11 a.m. so I’ll wake up and eat oatmeal, yogurt and maybe eggs then eat a banana on the way into the test.

Absolutely nothing. I tend to get a bit sleepy when I eat before a huge exam; even if it's a small amount.

Water is my usual go to substance before an 8 AM exam.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?

A cup of coffee (no more). Usually test @ 9AM and like to go in HUNGRY!

Enjoy fish the night before. They say it's brain food.

Always had McDonald's breakfast before the exam. It was good up until REG!! But I blame those REG not passes on it raining!! I only didn't pass an exam when it was raining….those are the facts, nothing to do with the amount of quality of my studying πŸ˜‰

Typical pre-exam meal: 2 egg omelet sans milk with veggies, strong green tea (pack another cup for commute to Prometrics site). No sweets, oatmeal, bread or white rice = make me sleepy.

Post exam: French, Chinese or Italian restaurant with little happy white drink or spiked coffee πŸ™‚

I normally would have a cup of coffee an hour before the exam and dry toast. Keep it light since I don't want to be crossed legged during the exam πŸ™‚

Egg breakfast, usually with toast or oatmeal, banana, almonds. Try not to get too full. 1 cup of coffee then lots of water. I usually end up having to use a 3 min break in between each session though.

But I've failed a lot, so “grain of salt” yada yada

    REG - 68 | 71 | 88 | 86
    FAR - 72 | 74 | 79
    AUD - 66 | 70 | 77
    BEC - 62 | 74 | 80

    Guess that means I'm a soon-to-be CPA!

I try to get a “good” breakfast in with some scrambled eggs and a slice of toast. I have to pee a lot normally, so I'll keep it to just a glass of water while eating. I won't drink coffee since I figure it'll make me have to pee. I also avoid all milk products since milk has the tendency to upset my stomach and I do NOT need that. If my exam is at 1:30 (which, lately, that's all that's available), I'll have a turkey sandwich before I leave.

I've only taken a pee break during two exams… both were audit when I knew I had a lot of time leftover. Otherwise, my goal is to not take a break!

I test mid-day and drink about only 2 or 3 cups of coffee and eggs in the morning. Then egg and bacon before the exam. NO COFFEE after 9 πŸ™‚

The blood of my enemies. It hasn't helped much though, so I might switch to cereal or yogurt instead.

A bowl of cereal, NO COFFEE, and maybe a sip or 2 of water. I basically went into most exams dehydrated so I wouldn't risk having to take bathroom breaks.

I usually make 1 scrambled egg with some kale/spinach and skim milk and some shredded cheese, I usually put some tomatoes or salsa and sour cream on top of them. Then either a piece of toast or half of a bagel with cream cheese, and a cup of coffee. My pre-CPA exam meal is always one where I don't count calories- the more the better !
