So I thought I would add a light post so we can think about all the good things that will come to us once we pass the cpa exam… It’s supposed to help you to think positively and envision yourself passing, so what do you see in your future?

Mine: Can’t wait to pass the cpa exam and stop carrying my computer, book, and a million highlighters everywhere I go!

    Much luck to everyone!

    1) Get back in shape: I have been sacrificing so much exercise and cooking time to study for this, leading to poor dietary choices and a way too sedentary lifestyle.

    2) Re-learn guitar: It's been years since I've picked the dang thing up, but I feel motivated to learn how to play again!

    3) Write a novel: Why the heck not?

    4) Get back into the dating scene: Sorry Pete and Tim! You guys are my bros and all that, but I need a woman in my life!

Looking forward to a real vacation! Most of my “vacation” days off from work have been spent on studying for school or exams these last 4 years. So we are planning a vacation in late October after the extended tax returns are all complete.

Cooking, working out 5-6 days a week (opposed to 3-4 now, the one thing I have not given up completely), spending more time with my boyfriend and family, and not turning down all my friends for fun social activities anymore.

Oh, and also a vacation to either California or Europe!!

Get back into party mode. The slowdown had been a difficult adjustment….probably good for me though. After work happy hours and weekend day drinking will return after this nightmare lol. I think Peter and Tim would be much more entertaining to hang out with in a bar discussing some of these interesting accounting topics over a few beers.

I still maintain my workout and running schedule otherwise I would feel completely worthless.

Booked my 1st cruise about 2 weeks after I take my last exam. Won't know my grade of course, but hope to return to eventual good news.

I have basically been in school nonstop through taking these exams…20+years. I am ready to find out what it is like to live without class/studying/exams etc. I honestly can't imagine. Want to more regularly work out (though I've lost about 20lbs this year, thank you stress). And learn to cook…and actually learn the guitar, been trying for years but no time makes it impossible.

And mostly, find a career I can be excited about to some degree.

Sigh! Yep, thinking pretty much the same! I also have a wedding (and a honeymoon) to plan…I'm so looking forward to being able to focus on that!

Thanks for all your posts guys!

I promised my daughters a trip to Disneyland when I finish the exam. I also am looking forward to reading for pleasure again.

But the first thing I'm going to do is take one entire day to not do one single productive thing.

I am looking most forward to my Dad (hopefully) not treating me like a child anymore. Hopefully, when I become a CPA and eventually make more money than he does, he'll lay off a little. 🙂

    @ CPATerminator

Tell me about it. The only time I get out of my house is to go to the gym in the morning, and when I go it's usually right around the time the senior citizens go. I bought my parents a Keurig coffee maker for christmas and the money I usually spend going out has been going towards refilling that bad boy. And the guy at 7-11 knows me by name now. FML

I have no social life so diving back into that will be great.

I am going to stack all my Becker books in a pile and burn them when I am finished. I don't care how much they cost because my firm paid for them. I cannot wait to do this. I seriously hate everything about the CPA exam and it's making me regret ever majoring in Accounting.

I'm looking forward to working out and finding a job. I've lost 15lbs since I haven't exercised in almost 6 months.

NIU CPA Review Correspondence is awesome!

I passed all four sections on the first attempt
