Verification from a non-active CPA?

    Can a non-active CPA still sign off for the 1 year supervised verification of employment? Or do they need to be active? I live in Minnesota. I know I can contact my state board, but maybe someone here knows too…

    If they cannot, am I wasting my time going for my CPA when I know I’ll be at this company for the long haul and my 3 year grace period to get certified will end, or are there alternatives?
