Thought you passed, but failed? Which part and what month?

Just curious to see. Maybe certain months are just harder to pass. My theory would be that its easier to pass during January/February and April/May because its busy season, so if you put the time in you should be able to do better than the people that are working hard and think they can get an exam in.

    AUD Q2 2013.

Going into it, I felt like I hadn't put in enough cumulative study hours for the exam, but once I finished the test, I was really feeling good. MCQs were doable, didn't flag an alarming amount, and felt like I nailed my SIMs (minus the 1 research Q which I knew I didn't get). Compared to the feelings I had coming out of my REG (80) and BEC (79) passes, I thought I had definitely passed this, with possibly even some wiggle room (score in the mid-80s). Then I got a 73! Which proves however you “felt” you did on the exam literally means nothing

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

I had the same exact experience as nbad311. In the same window too- Q2 2013. I was in shock when I saw a 72 staring me in the face on score release day. It just really goes to show that the feeling you have when you leave the testing center can not be relied on. I was sure I failed FAR but ended up passing with a 77. This exam is such a crazy, emotional rollercoaster that I hope I can get off soon lol

    FAR: 65, 77!
    AUD: 72, 72, 80!
    REG: 64, 84!
    BEC: 83!
    Ethics: 98!

    AUD Q2 2013

Ugh. I feel like AUD is the most likely part to be underestimated. It's all conceptual so you can never really gauge if you're ready. There are no calculations to do… for the other parts, it's like you get a question wrong when you're practicing and you know what to do – practice doing calculations. But for AUD it's so easy to get complacent and say “I'll just wing it” lol

    BEC 82 Nov 2012 | REG 80 Feb 2013 | FAR 76!!! Apr 2013 | AUD 69 May 2013 | AUD 83!!! Aug 2013

Done!! Thanks Jeff & A71 friends!

WOW, so far it looks like Audit is not smart to take in April/May! I wonder if this is just a coincidence or there is more to it…

Based on everything I have read & seen, the window you take your exam has nothing to do with your chances of passing and failing. Perhaps the only connection you can make is that in the “busy season window” January/February that you'll have less time to prep for your exam and it'll be more difficult rather than the summer months when things slow down. The exams are independent of each other.

I took AUD on 4/5/13 and got a 93… so it's probably just a coincidence!

But the first time I took AUD in Q1 2013 (early Jan) I thought I passed and got a 73! But then again I literally crammed for 6 days straight and that's it- so I wasn't too shocked I didn't pass haha.

    FAR: PASSED!! 64, 68, 79 on 2/27/13!
    AUD: PASSED!! 73, 93 on 4/5/13!!!
BEC: PASSED!! 75 (phew) on 5/24/13!
REG: PASSED!!! 77 on 8/7/13 I AM DONE!!!!!

    Experience: got it!
Ethics Exam: PASSED on first try (what a waste of money)

Wow, I'm also in the group that thought they passed Audit in Quarter 2 2013. I took it in May, after passing BEC with an 84 in April, and felt good about it. Whereas with BEC I was unsure how I had done.

For my audit exam I felt I had done well on the multiple choice and then well enough on the Sims to pass. On my score report, for the multiple choice, I did below average (of candidates who passed) in one area, above average in 2 areas, and average in the rest of the areas. However, my Sims were below average pushing me to a score of 69.

    BEC 4/3/13 84
    AUD 5/7/13 69, Retake 11/9/13 82
    FAR 8/13/13 78
    REG 10/11/13 85

    Ethics CA (78%, 90%)

    AUD Q1 2013.

I was completely shocked when I made a 68. I walked out feeling pretty good, a lot better than I did FAR, and I passed FAR! Just retook AUD. We shall see…..

    FAR: 79 (Becker basic)
AUD: 68 (Becker basic), 91 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)
BEC: 64 (blind), 81 (Becker, WTB, NINJA)
REG: 68 (Becker basic), 73 (Becker, WTB, NINJA), REMATCH 2/27
