I followed the outline suggested by Gleim and then pounded MCQs a week before the exam. I made a 90.

Ninja and Wiley test banks. During exam, read each question very carefully as AUD is very tricky.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

    Audit was tough – i took it 4 times this year >> 74, 73, 73, 79.

Each time I took a week off and crammed. The first exam I passed the SIMS but was weak on the MCQ… so I went to work and the second and third time I rocked the MCQs, but failed the SIMS…. FML for the last time – I took 2 weeks off and crammed for it. I read the becker book, took notes and made flash cards then crammed as many MCQ from NINJA that I could… finally a PASS!

You can do this… just don't give up and put in the time.

    R - 86
    B - 79
    A - retake 7/7/16
    F - 76

For me it was the SIMS that were killing me, on my final take I only had 1 FAR type SIM, the other 6 SIMS were more audit related so that is why I scored higher. I always did good on MCQ but on my 3rd try in addition to Becker I used NINJA Audio, NINJA Notes and NINJA MCQ. I studied the answers for Becker and Ninja. I would study why the answer was correct and why the other answers were incorrect. Reading the NINJA Notes 3 times helped me out the last 3 days of reviewing. Just make sure with Audit you read the question carefully because you can get questions that you know wrong because of the tricks and the way AICPA word things. I made sure I left myself 2hrs for SIMS and I still barely finished all of the SIMS.

I believe audit is very important in terms of understanding the concepts. There are very noticable key concepts, as subjects covered arent as wide-spread like in FAR and Reg. So really having a grapse of knoweledge should be your goal when you are working your way thru the MCQs. Remeber that in real life, auditor can be thrown with any situations, auditor utiilize professional judgement for approrpriate reactions, which is where we are required to show our standing thru the exam. hope that helps.

5000+ MCQs (look at sig), took notes (but importantly summarized them), studied SIMs simultaneously (doing them everyday).

With all these processes, being MOST aware of why I got a SIMs or an MCQ incorrect and internalizing how I thought it like that to change it. You need to understand Assertions and Evidence, it's sh*t, but you just need to force yourself to understand them.

I studied only Becker. And mostly just the MCQ. Read through the first two chapters quickly, Watched the A3 lecture, and just did the M.C. constantly for A1-A4. I kinda didn't bother with A5 (sampling) and looked into A6 (Ethics) instead. Don't overlook Ethics…it will be on there and those questions are not easy. I found just nailing down the questions in A1-A3 is the best. Knowing the themes is key. For A4 (Evidence), it is a killer. Try to do MCQ, but make sure you get the easier points (A1-A3) because Evidence is the hardest part. Don't go crazy over Sampling.

I passed AUD in California today with a 90. I was shocked; thought for sure I failed — the MCQs felt a lot different from Becker. My saving grace was having plenty of time during the Sims to use the reference material — I spent at least an hour doing that, and I found several wrong answers that I was able to flip to correct.

In terms of studying, I watched all the Becker lectures, reviewed the book for final review, did all the assigned homework and the two practice exams (scored around 70 on both … so the “bump” people talk about is real). But the big thing for me is the Becker flashcards — I found these to be extremely helpful during final review — definitely recommend investing in these.

For me, NINJA Audio is what made difference. I took AUD for the first time on 9/7 after 3 weeks of studying. Did all the WTB, listened to Roger Audio several times, did all the MCQs in the Wiley Textbooks. I got 74.

Then I took AUD for the second time on 11/10 after 2 weeks of studying. Redid all MCQs from WTB, and listened to NINJA Audio hundreds of times.:

    BEC 7/12 - PASS
    REG 8/17
    AUD 9/8
    FAR 10/15

I used Wiley for my review. I listened to all lectures and did all of the MCQ's and SIMS in each lesson. After I made it trough each
lesson, I used Wiley test bank for more practice. I only used the book to brush up on subjects from the test bank that gave me trouble.

    AUD - 96
    BEC - 88
    FAR - 88
    REG - TBS
