I was an audit intern at one of the Big 4 in Summer of 2014 and I start full time in audit this upcoming January. I graduated with an accounting finance degree in May 2015 and have been studying for my CPAs since graduation. Lately I have been thinking about switching into advisory and was hoping for some advice on how to potentially make the transition. I know advisory is more competitive, but I think I would find it more enjoyable.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? If so, how did you go about communicating this with your firm?
If my firm says no, should I try for advisory at another Big 4 firm?
Is it easier to switch into advisory after working a year or two in audit?
Do most individuals in advisory have their CPA?
