Being one of the old guys (graduated 1994) on the blog, I am really thankful for this blog. The support, advice, and feedback really helps you get through the anxiety of the exam, whether passing or failing. Just want to say thanks to Jeff, the moderators, and all the other contributors to this blog for making it a really cool place to visit.

Thanks for sharing. I am not working and don't have many friends right now that are accountants so I am also thankful of this blog. It definitely helps me feel like I am on the path!

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

@jrosen92770 I second your thanks to Jeff and the moderators. Another71 is the reason that I knew that I could handle this exam. I have yet to start studying (starting next Tuesday) but I know that when I feel weak or need help, I can always come here.

I also think the forum really brings a large diverse community together which forces you to have a new perspective. I continually kept pushing off taking this exam because I didn't know if I wanted to be a CPA and then I started thinking to myself “well now Im getting older and have a child, is it even worth it” but then I read about all the parents and individuals in their forties and fifties who are taking this huge goal and achieving it and it makes me think if they can do it why can't I.

Now I will be passing my exam and becoming a CPA within 2 years and this all thanks to Another71 and its members!

    FAR: April or May 2014
    AUD:
    REG:
    BEC:
    Scared: 100

FAR first and only attempt: 2014 Wiley textbook, 10 Pt Combo, and WTB

I only get one try to have to give it my all and try to get 75 on my first go around.
