[the LAST Coffee]

I was declined an audit associate job position with BDO and word-for-word my email response was ;

“Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a specific opportunity at this time.We are sure you will make a great addition and bring valuable experience to any firm, and we wish you all the best in your career search.”

I am not sure if they actually did not have a position for me or this is a soft way to tell me I wasn’t good enough this year.

I live in a small town and do want to try again with BDO sometimes. They even opened up a new Risk Advisory Association position this morning although that requires 1 year experience, and I only got 4 weeks under my belt so far + 2 summer internships, both nothing to do with Risk Advisory.

So I feel bad I did not type up a thank you for your time and consideration after being rejected October 14, which is two weeks ago. I feel like making one right now and dropping it off this lunch afternoon to the secretary. It’ll make a good impression for next opportunity I’m sure.
