Is anyone here sitting for the exam and not informing your manager until you pass all 4 parts?

I’m not saying a word to anyone in case I don’t pass.

How do you go about requesting vacation days to study/take the exam?

    Thanks

The same way you'd request days for any other reason. “I'd like December 22 & 23 as vacation days, is that ok with you?”

@Tiesto I'm in the same boat. I work in industry and I haven't told a soul that I'm taking the exam. Not sure what my manager is going to say when I ask her to sign off on my experience out of the blue. But just like @mla said, what the difference between requesting off for vacation vs studying? My manager is really laid back and as long as nothing big is going on it's as simple as, “I'm going to be out x day.”

    BEC 11/30/15 - 88
    AUD 01/10/16 - 88

It is very hard to take off days now. So I asked my partners if I can take some Fridays off to study, luckily, the partners let me take off the last two Fridays. Our firm gives us pressure to take the exam, so there is no way that I can hide.

Jones047- I would hope your manager would be happy to have a CPA in the department and sign off on your work.
Well if my manager asks why I didn't mention sitting for the exam, I'd say because the pass rate is like 50% and I wanted to make sure I passed.
Vanessachy- yes taking Friday's off sounds good
