Hi guys, I am taking REG in a few weeks and I am curious what is the perfect amount of time to leave for the REG Sims? For AUD and FAR, I figured 2 hours for the SIMS would be enough and it was perfect. However, AUD and FAR is also a 4 hour exam, so, that’s different (compared to REG). REG is a 3 hour exam, so, I wasn’t sure what the right amount of time to leave for the SIMS are? Any thoughts of what has worked or what hasn’t worked for you guys? Would love to know this.

    Thanks!!!

    50/50?

To be honest I only spent 2 hours on the exam. I thought for sure I was going to fail it so I wasn't too bothered with double checking. I mean, either I knew or I didn't with REG. I think I finished the MCQs in 1 hour and did the SIMs in 1 hour.

You definitely want to go through the MCQ as fast as possible in my opinion. Maybe 1.5 hours max for MCQ (50% of the exam).

    BEC - PASS (79)
    AUD - PASS (63, 71, 74, 74, 83)
    REG - PASS (88)
    FAR - PASS (58, 89)

Becker for all + FAR 10 Point Combo

I was about the same. I don't remember exactly but I think MCQ 1 hr 15 min, and SIMS 45 min. Depends if you get ones you know.

    AUD - July 2014 - 76
    REG - August 2014 - 82
    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

    DONE!!!!

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

I'm in the same boat, spent 2 hrs in total, about 45 minutes on Sims. I didn't feel confident after the exam, but I just did not waste time on those questions I was sure I didn't study for.

I actually spent the full 3 hours on REG because I got so hung up on the MC (my testlets felt like they started off hard and ended hard). I think I spent 1 hr 45 mins on MC and 1 hr and 15 mins on sims. Wish I had more time for sims because towards the end I was just putting in numbers because I was running out of time. Still passed tho. If possible, try to leave atleast 1 hr 30 mins for sims (that was my initial goal). Good luck!

    FAR - ✓
    AUD - ✓
    REG - ✓
    BEC - ✓

    Don't give up!

1 to 1.5 hours. That means you can allocate 30 minutes (read questions carefully) on each testlet. If you know the concept without using AL you'll probably done in 30-45 minutes but you can try utilizing AL to find/double check your answers. Time management is very important in all sections so use your time wisely.

I left 90 minutes for my SIMS and was able to double check, rework, and research the AL thoroughly on that time frame.
