    Hey guys,

For those that have moved to another state (FL in particular) while in the processing of taking the CPA exam, have any of you had success transferring your exam scores to your current state after completing the exam? I’ve read a ton of info about the process, but I am still confused as hell. Is this something that is even doable, or would I have to go back to NY, get licensed, and THEN transfer the license? I am pretty comfortable where I am right now and do not want to move back, and just a little anxious that the whole sitting for the CPA will be meaningless now because I am taking it for another state.

Any suggestions/ideas? I’m sure some of you guys have been in similar situations.

    Thanks!

I have finished FAR and REG by the way, if that matters, and will be sitting for AUD in July or Aug

Why not get licensed in NY? I don't believe NY has a residency requirement.

Edit: I just checked, NY does not have a residency requirement. So it's up to you, you can just get licensed in NY.

    Just call them and ask.

I am in NY and will be finishing after I move to TX. I'm pretty sure it's no big deal.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

Apply in FL. I'm sure the processing time is much shorter.
