My dear old computer is nearing the end of its life as a desktop, at which point it will be retooled to become a media storage server.
Anyway, I’m going to start studying for the CPA exam in the very near future and would like to go to either a tablet, laptop, or hybrid to replace the desktop so I can hide away in the local library to study/take it with me to study at work. I haven’t settled on a particular preparation course, although CPAexcel is looking the most promising so far. Does anyone know which of the prep courses can be accessed via Android/iPad tablet, or are are they all Mac/Windows only?
I’ve played around with a couple of tablets, and the only conclusion I’ve reached is that I’d prefer something with a screen larger than 10″. Aside from that, I’m open to other suggestions.
As far as a lack of storage capacity and processing power goes, I’m planning on making use of cloud storage and I don’t use many programs that require the horsepower of a laptop or desktop. Just the occasional word document and spreadsheet.
I’m not married to any particular media ecosystem (Amazon, Google Play, iTunes), but I will stick with whichever I end up with.
Any suggestions for a laptop, tablet or hybrid?
Thanks!
