Hi,

I am currently almost all the way through the REG portion of Becker. My test is scheduled for May 27th, but I am not sure that I can pass the exam that soon. I am also a Keller student, which means that my MCQ have to be completed to 90% by the 23rd of this month for all 8 units.

Additionally, because I am a Keller student, BEC starts May 30th and I have to take it to stay on track for graduation. I am scheduled to take BEC on July 10.

So my question is, being that I have been studying REG for a little bit, do you think it would hurt to simultaneously study REG and BEC? That would put me testing around the first week of July for REG and possibly moving BEC back an additional week or two.

I still have 2 weeks left to study, but I have to complete R6 and R7 before I can truly study. Should I just stay with my May 27th plan?

I am at a loss. I have not been successful in passing two exams that I have taken so far. I feel that the time constraints placed on me by the school’s curriculum has hindered my true study time.

So, what would be your personal advice?

Studying for 2 at the same time is not in your best interest, especially if you're already struggling and overwhelmed.

Hi Malotu – i would stick with REG and spend all my resources on it until May 27. I dont see the urge of studying for two parts at the same time based on what you said. Stay focused on REG and youll pass. May 27th is around the corner.

@Malotu I agree with the others. I think focusing on REG now gives you the greatest chance of success. Give REG your best shot and then move on to BEC. Even if you don't pass REG, you're giving yourself a clean start with BEC. If you do both simultaneously, you may risk overwhelming yourself even more and at greater risk of not passing either one.

Ok, thanks everyone. I will just do my best. I am working on R6 right now, about halfway done. I will have only R7 left to finish. I have completed the other units to past 90% complete on the MCQ already.

I think what is getting me every time is the SIMS. If I could have a better performance on those I think I could pass.

Well actually, I think I could pass if I could retain all this info. I feel like I know it when I am practicing and then I bomb the tests!

MaloTu, are you studying full-time or working?

You can finish Keller/Becker module in less than a day. I have tips that I can share with you. But I prefer not divulge it here.

Amor … It isn't the Keller module … it is finishing the unit HW to 90% and then having time to study before the actual exam.

Since you are a Keller student (or were) … do you feel their timeline is unreasonable or hindering? Maybe my brain is just not working anymore! lol.

Hi PasstheCPA7, I am doing great with my new job, but not with my study time. I've been juggling around. I've been discouraged and scared to lose my AUD's credit if I don't pass both of my BEC and REG this quarter. Oh well, I will still give a shot though.

MaloTu, I know what you're talking about Keller and the requirement. I am also a Keller student. I can help you figure out how to get that school requirement out of the way so you can focus just for the REAL CPA review. Is there a way we can email each other direct?

Yes, I'm retaking REG this quarter (5/30), but haven't been back to my REG study because I also have to study for BEC (scheduled on 5/18). How about you?
