I have missed about 3 days of studying due to being sick and having work to do from home. Has anyone had this happen to them and did it really put a damper on feeling prepared? I really don’t think I would of retained anything if I did study, I have a sinus infection. I’m freaking out because I have a lot of work coming up and my test is 12/10 for AUD. I am wondering if I should push it back till Jan or just take it 12/10. I would rather fail 12/10 and retake Jan then push it back and if I fail have to retake after tax season. Think I am on the right track or any other suggestions?

Don't push it back, you still have a couple of weeks. You missed 3 days, which completely sucks, but you can make that study time up, you might just need to wake up earlier/stay up later if possible. I'm not a fan of pushing back tests unless it is a major life event that you can't handle, unless it is in the same window sometimes. I would go ahead and take AUD and then prepare for BEC or REG in the 1st quarter because those will be the exams that change the most in the 2nd quarter.

Good luck, and get to feeling better!

Thanks. what else sucks is I will be in Pigeon Forge, TN for Thanksgiving with my husband and kids in which I am going to have to study down there (thankfully the campground has WIFI) so I will have less than productive study time then as well. I was already planning my BEC retake in Jan as well. I am not worried about the changes to REG, that is my strongest subject and I plan on taking it after tax season.

It has happened to me. I just dont study and try and make it up else where. Get rest. I know personally when I am sick I turn into a little baby and just want tot sleep, so I do. Otherwise I dont retain stuff. Good luck!

Keep pushing I battled sinus infections for the last year while studying. I even had to be put on steroids for two weeks before my last shot at REG. Rest and make up the missed study time. Listen to your body you need rest I know it is hard with thinking about studying.

I've been battling a sinus infection since Halloween. Keep pounding. Drink plenty of water, study in short bursts, and rest. You'll be ready come test day don't freak out you can do it.

Don’t change your plans. Keep on studying. Same thing happened to me last year when I was studying to take Audit on the Monday after Thanksgiving. I was sick, fever & all, the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving but managed to pass. You can do it!
