Greetings fellow earthlings. I made this comment a while back, but I wanted to updated everyone on my progress and the feasibility of studying BEC for one week before taking the exam.

After thinking about the best way to go about this, I decided to cover one chapter each day and then leave two days for a final review period. While that is a lot of information to process, I focused my studying on three areas: memorizing formulas, practicing conceptual MCQs, and reading the book/notes.

By focusing my MCQ practice to only the conceptual questions, I found I was able to get a better grasp on the material and it really tied everything together. This strategy also freed up more time in my day that I was able to spend memorizing the formulas for the calculation type MCQs.

Not to jinx myself, but I feel pretty good for the exam on Friday. I’ll check back in after the exam to let everyone know how it went. Below is the studying schedule I followed.

Thursday: Chapter 1 (memorize 24 formulas)

Friday: Chapter 2 (memorize 24 formulas)

Saturday: Chapter 3 (memorize 24 formulas)

Sunday: Chapter 4 (memorize 24 formulas)

Monday: Chapter 5 (memorize 24 formulas)

Tuesday: Chapter 6 (review struggling formulas)

    Wednesday: Final Review

    Thursday: Final Review

I studied BEC in one week, and got a 75. I just tried to do as many MCQs as I could. No reading.

I wouldn't recommend a one week strategy for BEC but to each is own. I did a 2 and a half week strategy and it's killing me!! I feel like I can't retain anything and the operation management specifically the cost accounting section is simply infuriating me. Don't get me wrong, I've put about 3-4 hours in on the weekday and about 8-10 hours in on the weekends during the last few weeks. I haven't taken a day break at all. My exam is tomorrow and this is going to be a complete Hail Mary!! Good luck to you and bravo to @turbo for passing BEC with a one week study strategy.

The pygmalion effect is strong with this bunch, lol

If it works you need to get licensed and then revolutionize the test prep industry.

If you can study BEC in one week, respect lol. I wish I could have done that. It also really depends if you're working full time. Either way, best of luck!

I don't recommend studying it in one week either, I just did it because I took FAR on December 2nd 2017 and decided to give it the old college try. Someone took pity on me and gave me a 75. If someone has a couple weeks at the end of a testing window, it doesn't hurt much to give BEC a try.

Just finished the test. Overall, not too bad. Second testlet had a lot more COSO/IT questions, but most of them required basic intuition.

Sims werent bad except some of the wording was different from what I was used to.

Memos were straightforward but I don’t exactly know how they grade those… would much rather have 2 additional sims + 1 research question but it is what it is.

Moving on to AUD. God willing, I will get those passing grades for FAR and BEC at the end of June and be one step away from leaving this madness behind me.
