Greetings fellow earthlings. I made this comment a while back, but I wanted to updated everyone on my progress and the feasibility of studying BEC for one week before taking the exam.
After thinking about the best way to go about this, I decided to cover one chapter each day and then leave two days for a final review period. While that is a lot of information to process, I focused my studying on three areas: memorizing formulas, practicing conceptual MCQs, and reading the book/notes.
By focusing my MCQ practice to only the conceptual questions, I found I was able to get a better grasp on the material and it really tied everything together. This strategy also freed up more time in my day that I was able to spend memorizing the formulas for the calculation type MCQs.
Not to jinx myself, but I feel pretty good for the exam on Friday. I’ll check back in after the exam to let everyone know how it went. Below is the studying schedule I followed.
Thursday: Chapter 1 (memorize 24 formulas)
Friday: Chapter 2 (memorize 24 formulas)
Saturday: Chapter 3 (memorize 24 formulas)
Sunday: Chapter 4 (memorize 24 formulas)
Monday: Chapter 5 (memorize 24 formulas)
Tuesday: Chapter 6 (review struggling formulas)
Wednesday: Final Review
Thursday: Final Review
