I will be starting at pwc as a new associate at the end of this month and I was talking to a colleague of mine recently who will be starting the same day. He told me he has received several phone calls over the last week from the background check firm that pwc hired. I haven’t been contacted by anyone from the background check firm, so is this something I should be concerned about? Is it bad that I am not getting contacted? Is it bad that my colleague is?

I am sure that there is nothing incorrect about the information I provided, although my work history does contain several “odd jobs”. I heard that background checks for new hires typically take a while to complete, so maybe the firm just has not got to me yet or I may not hear from the them until I am actually working? I dont know why I am nervous
