I just left deloitte and everyone has always said that back before the economy tanked people got pretty decent raises. And then after 2009 you were lucky if you got more than 5% raise. If you look at that leak those are all Director salaries. Most people do not make much in public accounting until you get to manager. if you are planning on staying for the long haul then you could potentially make a lot of money.

I'd definitely defer to the guy above me.

With that being said, think about it. Sony is an extremely large company, likely, with an extremely complicated Accounting System and Financials. Therefore Deloitte is going to be using their more senior and experienced personnel on the Audit Team. Therefore, they're going to be highly paid individuals.

From what I read, those directors/managers, are essentially partners without equity holdings.

Also, it's not just showing audit teams at Sony, apparently one of the hr guys at Sony used to work at Delloite and saved the salary information on his work computer.

where im at you can be a school teacher and do 8:30-2:30 (but only have to teach 3 hrs a day), 39 weeks a year, and get 130k plus a state pension. so everything is relative.
