Are there any other college football fans out there who are sacrificing the enjoyment of the college football national championship game in order to study? I didn’t go to either school, but – as a graduate of Ole Miss, I don’t like Alabama and want to see them lose for once. But alas, I am 12 days away from my REG retake, so studying is what I must do.

Huge College Football fan. Was at the Rose Bowl last week. IMO, that might be the most exciting game this Bowl Season. Also skipping the national championship because I have Audit tomorrow. But, if you have REG in a few weeks, take a break and watch the game until it becomes lopsided.

    FAR: passed
    REG: passed
    BEC: on deck
    AUD: crying

MEEE 🙁 first national championship I'm missing in years but have BEC next week and feel wildly unprepared. I'm an OSU alum so had that NYE game turned out in my favor, I would def be watching

Yep. Have BEC on Friday and this week is month-end close / YE audit preparation at work… So I literally just got home to study. Missed NFL playoffs this past weekend too.

    Clemson Wins!

The loud screams of Nick Saban yelling and blaming Lane Kiffin can be heard all over the stadium.

Well, I got to admit, the game was scary in the 1st quarter that there was no way Clemson comes back, but the 2nd qtr it was a game, I was supposed to watch one half with my son, but after half time I couldn't pull a way…..30 days til BEC, I think I can regroup tomorrow….WHAT A GAME.

HOTTY TODDY @Go.For.Broke! nice to see another Reb on here- just happy we had such a crappy season so I wasn't too distracted this fall- ha ha ha (hey its one way to look at it)- I compromised and studied until half and then watched the rest- think I got the great end of the deal and despite almost always pulling for SEC against any opponent- hate Saben and Bama so much that I am so happy that Clemson won!

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

@chr1437 Well if it was a sacrifice I guess so…but that championship game was a good one. That game proves its not over til its over (7 sec )…keep studying, its not over til we pass…lol. Now I watched the game, but I am not going to listen to the fights on espn and sport radio today…no need, I saw for myself Clemson came to play.

@mckan514w Hotty Toddy! What year did you graduate? I graduated in 2009. Did you go to the Patterson School of Accountancy? Wonder if we had some of the same professors!

lol @Go.For.Broke-very doubtful not only am I OLD! (was class of 1994 🙂 )- I was not an accounting major- (Stats and Public Admin.) Started out ACCY and had Dr. Lawrence for my two intro Accy 201 and 202 classes and after that experience I couldn't run fast enough- always regretted it because at the end of the day I really do love this crap- went back to school two years ago and got my Maccy to get the 150 I needed to sit for CPA. Would have been much easier to do this at 25 then 45 but oh well live and learn :-). Are you still in MS? Try to get back at least once a year for a game and even hit the sugar bowl last year. Like I said just thankful we fell apart this year because it would have been a struggle to try and study with another team like last year.

    GOOD LUCK with REG!

If anyone wasn't worried after the Nama QB cut through the defense to go back up by 3 late in the 4th, you are LYING.

That was a great GREAT game. I had no dog in the fight (my alma mater Hofstra ditched the prgm years ago) until the refs refused to eject that Alabama safety for leading with his helmet. I saw some great Tight End play. Hopefully the Giants will finally pick one worth a damn, but that's a different story. Hell of a game!

Saban probably made the whole team practice today, including graduating seniors.

    4 for 4

    FAR 85
    AUD 94
    BEC 86
    REG 90

LOL @saveBandit- I Just know Kiffin was glad he wasn't around to have his a$$ chewed (or worse) after the loss… Best game I have seen in WEEKS! (well since that USC / Penn State game)- so much better than the NFL playoffs…

@mckan514w I'm not in Mississippi anymore. I grew up in a town about 30 miles from Oxford. I now live in Atlanta, GA (since 2010). I know the name Dr. Lawrence, but I didn't have him. I think he was still there when I was.
