Sitting in off month (Prometric let me schedule it)

So Prometric let me schedule a test on June 9th. I booked the date since it provided 10 additional study days, but now I’m concerned that when I show up Prometric will not let me sit for the exam. Has anyone heard of someone sitting in the off month before? Will the scorers even look at the exam prior to July? I have a promotion riding on passing my last part so getting hosed by Prometric will push my promotion back a full year.

Prometric and/or the AICPA extended the testing window because of the floods in Texas, I believe. From what I heard, if they extend it for one state they have to extend it for all of the states.

I was impacted by the flooding in TX and ended up taking Reg today. From my understanding, via speaking with NASBA and Prometric, the window was extended for June 1-6. It is possible that they extended it further so if NASBA approved June 9 then you should be good to go.

You might want to call one of the numbers at the bottom of NASBAs webpage: https://nasba.org/

I called Prometric and the rep said it was related to TX. He couldn't confirm the 9th was a good date, but he said it was extended. He guaranteed that I will be able to sit. Whether or not NASBA grades it in June is a NASBA question, but if I sit I think NASBA will have to grade it as the test corresponds to Q2 candidates.

According to the timetable released by the AICPA if they get your exam after June 1st you will received you score June 18th. Also, the window has been extended before for various reasons. Whether you state was affected by the reason they decided to extend is irrelevant. If they extend for one state they must extend for all. If you see that June 9th is available and you schedule then you can take your exam that day. Don't worry someone will be their at prometrics. Remember, people are their taking various exams prometric isn't only for cpa candidates.
