I took my first exam(FAR) in October and luckily I passed. However I had some experience in SIMs that I have no idea how to correct my mistake. I choose an answer from the drop-down menu and selected my answer. After selecting an answer I realized that there should be no answer or I should have left it black instead of putting an answer. There is no way or I don’t know how to remove the answer and just leave it blank. Is there anyone know how to remove the answer after selecting an answer from the drop down menu?

If it's a drop-down answer and it's suppose to be blank, there will be “no entry” or “not applicable” type of drop-down answer.

If it's a numerical answer, you'll simply hit “backspace” to delete it.

I don't think I've ever had a drop-down answer where I was suppose to leave it blank.

This is just a sample question from a review course where you need to leave it black.

I can see what you mean, but usually the exam is a lot more clear with instructions than the review courses. I've gotten SIMs wrong on my review course because I entered a “0” when it was suppose to be left blank and vice versa, but I think the actual exam says to either enter “0” or select “no entry/not applicable.”

Okay. There are cases that you need to delete the selected answer because its not suppose to be there. Okay, I guess there's no way to delete it.

I just took the exam yesterday and I had the exact same issue! It happened to me twice.. One of them I put in a journal entry and decided afterwards it wasn't necessary so I had to put “no entry required” on both lines. Then the same thing happened to me on a cash flow statement.. Super frustrating. I hope it won't hurt my score.

    AUD - 81
    FAR - 74, 75
