If all goes as planned, I should complete all sections of the CPA exam by Jan 2017. I am currently doing some bookkeeping work on the side for a friend’s business (I am not an employee). Once I obtain my CPA, do I need to do anything to protect myself if I continue doing the bookkeeping work? Such as sign an agreement stating that I am not providing any auditing, review, compilation, etc services? Or are there any liability concerns with providing just bookkeeping services?
