funtimesNOTMemberMan I have not laughed that hard in a while. If I saw some guy roll up to the Prometric Center in a suit, I would probably fail my test or be kicked out because I would not stop laughing for like ten minutes straight!!!!!!
AUDIT - 79
FAR - 64, 77
BEC - 69, 71,79 - DONE!
REG - 60, 75Nothing in the 80s ; however, I worked full time the whole time! (like 10 hour days) so it can be done π

AnonymousInactiveI don't understand why you would laugh because you saw someone in a suit at Prometric. Maybe the person testing is coming from work, or maybe they have a meeting to go to afterward. The longest exam is 4.5 hours so there is still a lot of time to take care of business.

AnonymousInactiveDress normally.
Super relaxation is probably a mixed bag…unless that's how you normally do work well (ie you work from home, do homework that way etc.)
The CPA exam is serious and one should feel comfortable but alert – to me sweatpants and warm fits would make me tired after a few testlets.
Random aside:
I took my hopefully final test some other state than the other 3 (plus 2 failed times at the 4th) – and they luckily just let me put my fingers into to back packets of my pants and shirt pocket. At Penn (the station) and 3rd Ave (NYC), they make you take them out – which is understandable but totally annoying. No one uses their back packets especially those with buttons… and every break though I did not take breaks until this past test. They let me go to this coffee place in the same courtyard during the break – that (testing) place was awesome. Definitely recommend besides comfortable but not too comfortable clothes to plan a break on tests that you are not crunched for time…especially right before the sims. A nice 10 minutes coffee break (more than 10 – they have to report) is what you need before that final push (or other snack or even water and a stretch.)

How many letters do you needParticipanthaha this could be one of the oddest questions I've read here. Unless you plan to take the exams in 1932, you can probably skip the suit and tie. Dress comfortable, dress in layers if you think it's going to be cold. I always brought a sweatshirt and asked the staff what the temperature was before heading in. If you are a first timer I would be more careful about what not to wear/bring in to the exam. Most of them will catch elicit items before walking in but if they don't the responsibility is on you. So just leave your calculator watch in the car….
MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?

Lion_of_the_RockParticipantAlthough I wouldn't recommend a full suit because you want some level of comfort, I can't endorse the lululemons or random university hoodie with sweats and flops combo unless you're under 24. If you're north of that, you gotta keep it fly to some extent and show the test that you respect it and you respect yourself.
How you dress is a reflection of how you want to be treated. Do you want REG or FAR to laugh at you and punk you because it looks like you just rolled out of bed and don't care? Would you show up to work at one of the Big 4 sweat shops and start talking shop with a partner in your crocs and PINK University ensemble?
Think of it like this: if Jay-Z were taking the CPA Exam, how would he dress? Respect your hustle, put on some decent clothes.
BEC - 78
AUD - 75
REG - 74, 79
FAR - 75You have to buy a ticket to win the raffle.

ScarletKnightCPAParticipantI actually did wear a blazer and button down shirt. Left the blazer in the locker though and didn't wear a tie. I'm not against the tie though, I wear one to work everyday.
Far: 76 (Wiley Test Bank)
Aud: 77 (Wiley Test Bank)
Reg: 61, 76 (Wiley book, Wiley Test Bank)
Bec: 86 (Wiley Test Bank)MBA in progress
