Hi,

I came to the USA 10 years ago, I got my MBA in 2008, and I didn’t get the opportunity to work for family reasons. right now, I have no work experience and I don’t know if I should go back to study for the CPA exam. I read that many of you are working while studying . I believe the CPA would give you a big boast to your already established professional career or to a promising position in the future. Do you think pursuing the CPA would help me at my situation? Thanks

A CPA will give you a boost if you're already in a career, or if you're yet to get into public accounting. Being able to put you passed the exams on your resume will definitely look better than not having anything.

You should study for the CPA exams REGARDLESS OF EXPERIENCE!

You won't use most of it as it is different in real life. Nevertheless it will serve as a foundation for your career. Many Candidates have passed with little to no experience.

I needed to hear this..Thank you guys! one more question, since I am not working, I will be dedicated to study in the morning and part of the afternoon “until the kids come home”. how long should it take me to be ready for the exam? I am not a fast learner and i may spend many hours to review some topics and do tons of questions.
