Should I apply to firms BEFORE "Meet the Firms" or wait until after?

    I graduated in March but still don’t have a full-time position so I’m attending “Meet the Firms” next Thursday. I saw a list of the firms attending and saw that some of them have openings listed on their website already. Should I apply now to get ahead of the rush of people that will apply after that night, or should I wait to potentially make a connection at a firm’s booth first? Does it matter?
