Yesterday I read that somebody is planning to do 200 mcq a day ( on the weekend). How in the world somebody can do soooo many??? Do you read answers or not?? How do you plan your day??? How many sets of mcq you do and how long it takes for you to answer the question? I really would love to hear from the candidates who are able to do more than 100 mcq a day. I want to see how can I improve. I can’t do more than 100 mcq a day. I am not a fast test taker for sure.

I usually hit 250-300 on saturdays and sundays. During the week, 180-210. Just gotta keep on keepin' on, even when you want to scream, puke, or both.

I have asked this question before and someone told me that “i would get to that point” – well, I never have. I feel like 1 of 2 things is happening to do this many a day (and please chime in with further explanation, people) 1) These folk are putting in, like, 10 hours a day to do that many. Or maybe just like 8 hours and literally have the focus of, idk what, but not a level of focus I can comprehend. Or 2) The questions they are doing are not the first time they have seen these questions. I can blow through repeat questions too, but I go super slow on first time questions and even take notes when I get them right. Maybe I'm just not as efficient as I could be? Which circles me back to, I've never gotten to the point where I can hammer out so many.

    Explain yourselves. 🙂

Wait, forgot to ask. Are you doing FAR MCQs? Because if so, then my limit for those was maybe 120 at most. Those were torture.

In DEEP and DEEP study mode for FAR, I did 180 for a couple of days but it sucked… But for like non-calculation based exams, audit, you can definitely run deep bc it takes a lot less time to answer one question. Same for BEC.

I am restudying REG right now. I agree that you can do more mcq for AUD, b/c it does not include calculations.

That's basically for the theory based questions that don't involve computations. I can do 200 AUD on a week night. A totally different story for FAR. I just do 2 sets of 30 random MCQ, take a breather brake and do 1 more 30 mcqs set. Then take a longer break. Then I re-visit previously missed questions in another 30 mcq set.

    REG - 75!!!
    FAR - 66; 73 (FML!!!)
    AUD - 09/16

I can do 200 a day but it takes 7 or 8 hours, so basically takes up my entire day. I feel bug eyed, dizzy, and mentally exhausted after a few days of it. I always read the answer and try to figure out why I got an answer wrong. When I was doing FAR and REG, I would consult my textbook for many of the questions. With AUD, I did not look at my textbook much at all, still couldn't do more than 220. I only do “new questions” when doing Ninja and I read most of the explanation links.

The people who are doing 300+ a day are probably spending less than 1 minute per question and are not looking at their textbook. I guess if the material is very easy for you, then it's possible to do even more than 300. But if the material is easy for you, what is the point of continuing to review it? Or maybe they are doing questions that they've seen before and more than likely have memorized.

It's easy to do that many for AUD, but it's tough to do that many for FAR or BEC. I think I did it once or twice for FAR, but never for BEC. I'm usually averaging around 120 for BEC, but I can do more if I'm doing a lot of IT questions. In the beginning it would take me over an hour to do a set of 20 financial management or cost accounting questions.

    AUD: 73, 81

Last week I was doing 200-300 a day. I spent about 2 mins per question. I'm burnt out now, but I think it prepared me for my test on Tuesday. I took the week off so I could put in some solid study time. All I did was review notes, answer MCQ's, eat, sleep. Hopefully it pays off. If I have to study for Audit again, I'll cry.

It all depends on the program. W/ Gleim I can max out on 100-120, with Ninja 200-300. I used to find it hard to believe myself. Also, you have to take into consideration repeated questions, which obviously wouldn't take as long as new questions…

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

I've also have done several hundred mcqs during the weekend – and yes you want to just throw up .. you spend all day and almost all night studying.. and then 2 hours at night every weekday night too. Esp takes longer with the repeat question as mtaylo24 mentioned.

    AUD - 74 (3x), TBD
    BEC - Sept16
    FAR - TBD
    REG - TBD

It depends.. I am not like others that study 7-8 hours a day on weekend because I dont learn that way. I work full time so I study about 3 hours a night for weeknight I think I average around 35-40 Questions per night. On weekends I study about 5-6 hours. By studying I mean reading and mcq. So weekend I generally only do about 60-70 Mcq per day. I am restudying for FAR so the questions are already a pain to do.

I worry less about the amount and more about whether I understand now. Back then I just so focus on the quantity I skim through the ones I got right and not read why the other options are wrong. I feel like I am understanding a little more than my first round but will see in a few weeks. Best of Luck!

when i was studying full time, i did 100 in the morning (7am-11am) and 75 in the afternoon(3pm-7pm). the key is to take a break between like getting refreshed or taking a nap. i did that ever other day. after i did 175, i made sure the next day to focus on input like reading textbook, taking note, and stuff. if you are studying part time, i think even 50-75 a day is hard.

i recommend doing 2-3 sets of 25-30 MCQ a day, and make sure you are not just doing the MCQ but understanding the concept by going back to text and taking notes.

    good luck!
