I read somewhere that in the exam, they do not give scratch papers anymore. Instead, they give a laminated something and a marker. Is this true?

Yes they give you two laminated pieces of yellow paper along with two non-erase pens. One side has a grid on it like graph paper and the other side is blank. You cannot wipe mistakes or anything off so if you run out of room you have to ask the Prometric people for more.

Its really not as bad as it sounds, I think one of my markers dried up but other than that its just like pen and paper

I just hated the fact that I couldn't erase anything plus sometimes my pens were previously used by an ogre as the tips were always smashed or a mess causing my writing to then be ginormous!

Yeah its not too bad. Although, the laminated paper was blinding me during the exams.
The lights from my testing center reflected off the paper and it was so hard to see my writing.

Can you write anything down on the scratchpaper/yellow paper for ALL parts of the Exam (FAR, REG, etx). For example, write down formulas and neumonics for FAR or AUD? Sorry I'm new to this and will be graduating in May. Just trying to prepare. Thanks!

Yeah, you can write down formulas if you want to. I remember writing down some of the cost accounting variance formulas at the top of one of my laminated sheets for BEC, just because I wanted to be able to easily plug things in without thinking too much about the formulas.

Also, the “pen being previously used by an ogre” thing had me laughing… I swear that happened to me every time!

    REG - 86 (4/11/15)
    BEC - 92 (5/29/15)
    AUD - 99 (7/23/15)
    FAR - 89 (11/23/15) It's over!!!
