If you scored above a 95+ on BEC, did you feel you missed any questions? Or did you know everything?

Felt pretty confident leaving the exam. I didn't feel like I got every single question right, but it was by far the exam I felt most confident leaving.

All you need is a 75. But from what I heard, some people leave the testing center feeling that that failed miserably, only to pass with flying colors. Others felt confident and ended up failing. How the exam is scored is so secret none of us will probably ever know.

    Perfectionist alert….. I'm very ambitious, but a 75 will do 🙂

    A - 2/2/15 - 76: PASSED
    B - 7/20/15 - 74, 73
    R - 7/24/15 - patiently waiting for 8/25 score release
    F - sometime in October

Read above two posts for reasons why pass rate is pathetic^ Can CPA's really be considered smart, if they aim to pass and not excel? My undergrad school really misrepresented; i.e. overstated the skills needed. Stop mentioning the 75; but until then keep averaging your 70-75 resulting in like 10 examinations total, while I and TheBoss92 attempt an actual challenge(thanks the overexaggerating MCQ difficulties though!); also thank you for your input on the 75 because if you think my comment is unneccessary, consider yours in relation to the original post.

Ambitious lol. Satsfaction of a 75 lol. I like to get out of bed by noon at the latest, I'm pretty ambitious in that respect, right?

Geez, spatel, looks like not only did you get out of bed ambitiously late, but you got out on the wrong side 😉 lol, j/k.

If EWS is a goal then the 75 mentality is not a condolence, I guess.

Seriously, what crawled up your butt?

No. My goal is NOT a 75. And I don't appreciate it that you assume that my goal is just to pass. I was simply pointing out that you probably won't be able to tell how you did until you get your score, no matter how much you study. This isn't like some test your professor gave you in college. You just can't wing it and pass the CPA exam. Because the test is not based on the percentage you got correct, it is based on the difficulty. Get all hard testlets and simulations and you are likely to score in the 90s. But if you think my goal is 75, 75, 75, 75, you are dead wrong. In fact, I always aim for 99 because I am also a bit of a perfectionist myself. But in reality, what I do is none of your business which is why I didn't bring it up in the first place.

And just to let you know, I've heard of some people who scored in the 90s, yet felt like they failed. And this is the truth.

Hey spatel. How many tests have you taken ?

I got a 96 and I know that I missed a few. Walking out of the test there were around 10 MCQ that I wasn't completely sure of / took an educated guess and I think that I ended up missing 4-5 of those. Obviously its impossible to know which of them are pretest / what the assigned point value is.

I felt pretty good about it walking about but I didn't have a ton of time left for the written portion of the exam so that stressed me out a bit.

Spatel. Nobody gives a crap except for ourselves what score we get. We will never share with anyone except this website and maybe fellow exam takers.

If you want to score higher so you guarantee yourself not to take it again, great. The number is pointless otherwise, especially as you cannot gauge it based on the exam experience. Aim to pass and worry about the quality of work you produce on the job.

If it's any consolation I've yet to see anybody even the EWS winners who felt like they nailed every single question, even the ones who were consistently scoring in the 90's on the MCQ while preparing.

I don't want an award, I just want to pass. I'm not an idiot for wanting a 75. I study to get the highest possible grade, but hey I'll take the 75. which is passing by the way. I personally think these kind of questions are used to stir up the forum, because the passing score is what it is…….regardless of anything else.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass
