@Msbeekie- I plan on taking it asap because my NTS for REG expires 11/26. Hopefully I can take it the first week of October so I have enough time for REG on 11/21. Hope you get good news on the 20th!

@eltoromodesto- I used Roger and Ninja for both attempts. I feel like I've memorized most of the Ninja questions and need something fresh, but not sure what to use. The only thing I'm worried about is buying another test bank and seeing a lot of repeats. There were a lot of repeats in Ninja and Roger.

    FAR: 75 Roger & Ninja (notes/flashcards/audio/MCQ)
    AUD: 73, 81
    BEC: 71, retake 8/29

FARISFUN: I'm not pretending to know a lot on this topic, but I would say the “harder” testlets have “harder” questions, a higher concentration of them. While I don't have a specific example to paste to this board, I would say I “hard” question is one that requires knowledge and application of multiple concepts, as opposed to those short direct one line questions where you know it or you don't.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. But isn't the degree of difficulty based on how other candidates did on the questions while they were in pre test? Couldn't shorter questions have a high degree of difficulty too? The whole process is very confusing to me

@farisfun Like others have said it's generally more computational problems that include a good amount of distracter information and more than one necessary calculation. The conceptual questions also seem to be a lot wordier. Length of questions is also a good indicator.

This is from the AICPA website…

“Candidates take three multiple-choice testlets. A testlet is a group of multiple-choice
questions. The first testlet is always a medium testlet. If you perform well on the first
testlet, you will get a more difficult second testlet while those who do not perform well on
the first testlet will receive a second medium difficulty testlet. Similarly, the third testlet
can be a medium or a difficult and assignment of the third testlet is based upon your
performance on the first two testlets. This testing process is called Multi-Stage Testing
(MST) or Computer Assisted Sequential Testing (CAST). Please note that the taskbased
simulations are not chosen based on your performance on the multiple-choice
    testlets. They are pre-assigned. “

Got a 71 on REG. Sucks that I have to retake it…..but honestly…..I thought I absolutely bombed the exam. Gives me some confidence for my next attempt.

Still waiting on BEC. I woke up at 6 am today to check my score only to see that it wasn't posted. Went back to sleep, and had a couple of dreams about my score LOL. I've been checking the CBA site all day, and it's still not up :[ I'm from California, does anyone know how often they release the score batch? Am I in the BEC bubble? This is stressing me out…sigh…

    @farisfun

I think it's subjective, I've sat for 3 exams now (passed 2 waiting AUD score) and I couldn't judge if my teslets are going harder or not. actually, for FAR iam sure i got 89 questions right without even noticing that testlets are getting harder. if you are well prepared and the questions that pop up at you are from your strongest area you wouldn't notice.

Just passed BEC with a 78! Makes up for the salty 74 on REG last month. I couldn't tell if the questions got harder on my testlets for either one, but I don't think I did so well on the MCQs on either test. I honestly think the SIMs and writing made or broke my score.

Just got my score of 79, and I'm extremely happy right now. I really didn't feel good about it after taking the test. Two more to go yayy. One thing for sure, California releases theirs score once a day.

    Hello all,

just got word recently I scored a 69 on AUD. It was a bit of shock with a heavy dose of disappointment, but I am comforted in reading these posts to see the resilience of so many people on this site. I will dust off the dirt and try again in a month or so.
Was using becker and took a practice exam after seeing my 69 to see where I was at to gauge if I should continue with FAR or go back and retest AUD. I scored an 81 on audit m/c questions after not seeing the material for 3 weeks. I don't think i memorized the questions. It's just interesting to score that well and bomb the exam. However, I will admit I didn't do too many sim's and thats probably where I went wrong.
I will use the NINJA notes and mcq's over the next few weeks and try again.

Got a 98 on AUD for my first exam. Studying BEC now and it's rough. Hopefully it eventually just clicks like AUD did. I am 23 days out from my exam and almost done with my first round of Roger before the cram course.

Found out a few days ago I passed Audit, and I am officially done! What a journey, at the beginning it seemed so daunting to get through them all and now here I am. What a feeling. Finished just in time to be able to start as a 1st year at PwC this week and not have to worry about the exam anymore. Good luck to everyone, just stick to it!
