Have to research and subsequently implement a new accounting/ERP software for a client’s company that is a growing/funded SaaS company. Currently use QBO, but definitely outgrowing it in terms of needing rev rec on subscriptions and related SaaS needs. Also, need integration with Salesforce. Company is currently about 30 people and growing. I thought Sage Intacct might be a good fit. Anyone with exp with it that can comment on it? Or any other recs into software I should look into?

The primary benefit of Intact is that the license fees are cheap and I think the workflow and processes are pretty intuitive. Every ERP has wonky things like for example if you do a lot of SaaS customer refunds I would NOT recommend Intact because the ERP can not do customer refunds from the A/R subledger. You must create a credit memo and then refund this via AP which I think is a wonky way of handling that particular issue.

NetSuite has far better Salesforce integration but it's going to cost a lot more.

For a SaaS company moving up from QB pretty much Intact, NetSuite, and maybe Workday are your only serious options. I do not like WorkDay so it's between Intact and NetSuite for me.

@lurking_CPA those were the two I was thinking of demoing, but thought Netsuite would probably be cost prohibitive. Thanks for your input. Will get quotes and demo both and continue the process.

If cost is an option – you really can't go too wrong with Intacct. For a non-inventory based business it makes absolutely the most sense for the dollars and cents spent. Their support however, somewhat sucks and that's really where they make the money (implementation, consulting, support).
