Revisiting initial career goal to be CPA

I have a BBA in accounting from 2005 and am only 9 total semester credits and 3 accounting semester credits shy of meeting the credit requirements to sit for the CPA exam; however, I have no work experience in accounting (I’ll save that story for another time) and, at this point, remember very little from college.

Should I retake the accounting courses or review my old college textbooks and notes? I have no idea how to tackle this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Your review course should fill in the gaps…granted, you may have to study more than someone fresh out of school, but I would march ahead and not using your old books.

Becker is a review course that assumes you have some good knowledge of Accounting. I heard that CPAxcel teaches you from the ground up.
