How’s it going everyone. First post and I have a quick question. I am currently in a master’s program for accounting and will be working 20 hours a week for tax season. I have Reg, and BEC both passed and I take audit on the 10th (I am feeling pretty good!)

Do you think I could pass FAR with just doing the multiple choice and the sims by using Becker. I wont have a ton of time and I want to have at least a chance to pass it before the next window. Also for all the other sections I really benefited from the MC. Thanks and I am willing to hear your suggestions!

Hey! I don't have much similar experience (I'm in grad school, as well, but not working). It really depends on how comfortable and knowledgeable you are with the information covered in FAR. Me personally, I need to read beforehand since it's not possible to really know all of this information in great detail as you need to for the exam. The good thing is, FAR is supposed to change the least with the new format (less MCQs and a couple more SIMS but that's it) so I wouldn't worry too much about trying to pass it just because of the exam change.

For me, I just graduated last spring and hadn't seen Intermediate since the summer of my sophomore year and took advanced as a junior… anyway I hadnt see the material in years and when I was learning FAR, I felt like I had to reteach myself EVERYTHING. There are some things I would recommend reading such as the IRFS vs GAAP in chap 10. Also, there are such little things in the book that I felt like reading the book helped me. There is so much in FAR. It's up too you, you know how you learn best.
