I’m currently in Grad school full time in CO (currently not working) Would you recommend to take exam in CO even though there is a great possibility i’ll be out of state once i finish my degree here? The reason i want to take it here and be done with that is that i have time for studying. Looking into the future, crazy work hours, family, etc. will be as of great challenge for preparation. But then again, taking exam in one state and getting experience in another one. Is it worth it?

Do you already have a good idea where you'll be living/working after graduation? You can physically sit for the exam in CO as a candidate of any state.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I don't have a specific state in mind. I will go wherever opportunity takes me to. That's why i want to reinsure that i won't “lose” my effort, my credentials in this case, by taking CO exam and end up somewhere else..

You could ask the state you want to move to about:

    1. Transferring your score to this state and getting licensed that way

    OR

    2. if you decide you want to get licensed in CO first, askabout reciprocal licensing or if there's anything extra you'll need to do to get licensed in the new state. I think the extra stuff tend to be CPE requirements, proof that you intend to stay and work in the new state, and maybe work experience, but it varies by state.

    CPA license in progress....
