As per their websites per return charge for Drake Tax Software is $300 plus $20 per return .Is this $300 is annual or one time ?
Any one used Drake for tax prep ?

Every year requires a new purchase. Drake is already sending me discounts if I purchase early 2017.

The $300 you pay is for the first 15 returns. Then you pay $20 per return after that. They also have an unlimited option for somewhere around $1500. My old firm used it, and I like it a lot. Very easy to use. I've also used it for the last couple years for the 10 or so clients I have.

I've heard good things about this software and plan in trying it out. It would be nice to get those discounts but I have heard it's more affordable than some software packages.

I talked to sales to today and they say they give it (2016) for free on 1st December. LOL
So no discount.As this year tax time is almost over I was looking for some discount but no luck.

They are not offering me any discount on 2016 .

The discount was for the unlimited package at around 10% off. Fee was still over 1K. I don't do enough returns to justify the price. I am working on that though.
