Hello everyone! I am about to apply for the CPA exam in Georgia and am nervous about being turned down. I was arrested a year and a half ago and am working on get it expunged from my record. The charges were Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness & Criminal Trespassing. I was at a college football game and was told to leave (which I did) but then my friend was working the ticket gate and told me he’d let me back in (which I drunkenly decided was ok). After being back in the game for 5 minutes the same campus police officer spotted me and arrested me on the spot. It was a really stupid mistake and I have owned up to it and have dealt with the consequences. When I was released from my probation I received a letter saying that I was not guilty of the crimes and it should carry no weight going forward. It still is freaking me out though because I have worked so hard and don’t want it to have been for nothing. Has anybody ever been in a similar situation or know what I can expect??

Maybe you should request for a detailed copy of your background check before you proceed with the licensure.
