I’ve worked in big 4 tax for 6 years but am currently looking to get out of tax altogether. My goal is to land a controller track position at a tech startup. I am finding this difficult without any audit experience and was wondering if there were any public firms that had good tech groups where I can go for a couple years to gain this experience.

PwC Audit – San Jose office if you live in California. Their software and internet group is based in that office. Many of my ex-coworkers jumped straight to senior roles at the tech companies they worked on.
