Hey guys, for all those who have taken an exam I was wondering a couple of things about Prometric.

First off, are all the computers the same at all of the locations? Also what kind of keyboard do they give you, namely is there a keypad off to the right side or is it numbers on top of the letters like on a laptop?

I want to practice and really am just trying to arm myself with as must information as possible 🙂

I have only been to one testing location but at my location the keyboard has both the numbers above the letter keys as well as the number pad (aka 10 key) to the right. The computers are essentially your classic desktop computers. In terms of the testing software and interface, if you have Becker's review materials, their practice exams are exactly like the actual set up on the exam so when you go into the test you will know how to navigate through the test.

There is a numeric keyboard to the right, at least at my Prometric. I would imagine that the keyboards are all the same at each location to prevent anyone from being at a disadvantage.

Standard keyboard. My complaint is the crappy 17″ monitors. They are fine for the MCQ but are inadequate for the SIMS. I have complained after every test. They will probably change them when I am done. 🙂

I've only tested at one site, but it sounds like the other sites are the same. Plain keyboard with the numbers on the right (no ergonomics here), an old 17″ CRT, a basic trackball mouse.
