    Answer: Every time I didn’t want to study, I went for a run.

    Result: Began in 2015 @ 200 lbs while studying for FAR. 2017 @ 160 lbs and I can run a half-marathon, still not a CPA.

    Epilogue: Limited running to 3x per week, max 5 miles. Passed FAR in March 2017, waiting on AUD score release on 8/17 and REG/BEC score release on 8/22.

    Lol sounds like a solid weight loss plan. And REG scores come out on 8/17 actually!

    If only it were that easy for me… I think everytime I didn't want to study, it's usually bc someone asked me for bottomless mimosas on a Sunday. πŸ™ But I'm proud to say that I'm consistently working out, 8 months out of studying and back to the weight before I studied and in better shape than when I started. πŸ˜‰

    Sounds like a plan πŸ™‚

    I try to walk on any day I'm stressed from this exam. Even a 30-minute walk with the dogs can help ease the soreness in my back and neck that I hold from stress. It helps clear your head and you feel refreshed when you plop back down in the chair to study again!

    I'm always trying to lose weight (currently 10 pounds down!). I've noticed if I am really focused on studying, hunger doesn't hit me until my mind is on something else, which is a nice way to forget to eat and lose weight πŸ™‚

    @CPAIN2K17 – Too late to Edit, but I meant 9/22, not 8/22 for REG and BEC.

    @hasy
    – There's a caveat, also gave up alcohol. What kind of 27 year old gives up alcohol? A 27 year old who's going to pass the CPA exam! That's who!

    @Summer
    – Running started just like yours, taking the dog on more walks, then walk/jogging, and so on. It kind of spilled into overall interest in well-being. My goal was never to lose weight. However, I'm not disappointed with the results.

    I have drank maybe twice while studying for this test. So yes as a person in my late 20's I happily gave up drinking to make sure I would eventually pass this test. I also have an amazing bottle of expensive wine waiting for me. I am not going to crack it open until I have my last passing test score.

    Although running is not my thing I use a desk cycle while i am studying to help get some form of exercise in. I also have lost about 55lbs. during this entire experience mostly from completely changing my diet.

    Now if only I could be a CPA and be healthy!

    AUD- 72, 71, TBD (now i am pissed no more messing around)
    BEC-8/29/16
    REG-10/10/16
    FAR-70 retest-11/28/16

    @drumstick – Alcohol was one of the main things that kept me sane during this whole and nightmarish ordeal.
