That is impressive. I lack the ability to sit down and put in quality study time for that long in one sitting. Congrats on the pass!

@mt3130 do you feel work experience helped you with the exams considering the short time frame you studied? Do you remember your average % on the mcq during BEC? what was your method for memorizing the formulas?

I think my work experience helped quite a bit. For memorizing the formulas, I would get the first question wrong, write down the formula, then keep working problems using that formula until I didn't need to look at what I wrote down anymore. I would also change the variables around to have a working knowledge of what I'm trying to accomplish with the formula and get myself prepared for anything they throw at me related to that formula.

There were quite a few formulas in BEC that I didn't even study. I spent all of my time thoroughly learning the formulas that were used most in the MCQs, so I had those down pat. In my opinion, nailing down a handful of formulas that are most frequently seen is more useful than sort of knowing them all.

My average scores for all 4 sections were in the upper 60s to lower 70s, although my trending scores were higher. Keep in mind that I did no studying prior to starting MCQs, so my first few rounds of questions resulted in pretty low scores (50s and 60s).

My actual scores for all four exams were much higher than my average scores.

    REG - 90 (08/2014) - Study Time = 6 days
    FAR - 89 (10/2014) - Study Time = 9 days
    BEC - 83 (11/2014) - Study Time = 4 days
    AUD - 89 (01/2015) - Study Time = 2 days

    Final score released - 2/4/15
    Application mailed - 2/5/15
    Licensed CPA - 2/12/15

I tried the Early, Lunch, Late routine this final week before my exam. I'm not a morning person and have a hard time waking up to go to work, much less sit still and study in the morning. I'm also not a coffee drinker, so in need of a pick me up to start my day I tried to take some of my husband's preworkout to wake up. If you've ever read the twitter account “C4 Had Me Like….” You would know how incredibily stupid of an idea that was. I could not study I had so much “nervous energy” that I eventually had to get up and run a block around my neighborhood just so I function the remainder of my morning. Next time I'll stick with Adderall.

I used Becker for REG, FAR, and BEC, and I used Ninja MCQ for AUD.

For AUD, I just did MCQs in Ninja from all the sections/chapters at once. I would do 50 MCQs and give myself an hour to complete them. If I finished before the hour was up, I would take a break until the top of the next hour, then do another 50. This made studying all day long much easier, because I was essentially taking a short break every hour. I think my average for answering MCQs was about 53 seconds, so I would typically finish a batch of 50 in about 45 minutes or so, then watch TV or play with my dogs until it was time to start my next batch of questions.

The key for me is the information presented after you answer a question. Those nuggets of information are very concise and easy to remember. Make sure you read the explanations for the correct choice, as well as for the choices that are incorrect (if you are using Becker). For Ninja MCQ, I would just read the explanation given after answering each question, then if I had a question, or the information didn't make sense, I would click the definitions and/or codification links at the bottom of the screen.

    REG - 90 (08/2014) - Study Time = 6 days
    FAR - 89 (10/2014) - Study Time = 9 days

    AUD - 89 (01/2015) - Study Time = 2 days
