Hi everyone,

So I am waiting on my score for FAR that should be released December 9th. Today I got an email from the Virginia Society of CPA’s congratualating me on passing the exam and offering me the free membership. So do they somehow get information from the AICPA of the persons who pass/will pass?

I received the same email on Friday and am also awaiting my score release from my final section on 12/9! I hope it's good news for all of us!

I got the email too but I alredy passed my last exam last Nov 24 and I lives in Alexandria VA.

The only thing in my mind now is the Xmas gifts, foods, kids, and all my family …. I still need to take the ethics exam. :0

Hate to break the bad news but I have a friend who has passed only one section and he also received the email.

I have a friend in VA waiting on a score and she didn't receive the email… Weird. Oh well back to the waiting game.

Has anyone received emails from them previously that were worded differently? I have numerous emails offering the same thing that say congratulations on working towards becoming a CPA.

FutureHokieCPA do you know if your friend's email was worded them same: congratulations on passing the exam and not congratulations on working towards becoming a CPA?

I replied to them and just received this email:

“Hi Christian,

No, it doesn’t mean you already passed. Anyone that have passed one or more parts of the CPA Exam received this email. We are sorry if we mislead you! Have a great day!”

Just in case someone stumbles upon this in a later release. I did pass and am DONE with the CPA exam! I don't know about the others but I wish you luck.

I ended up passing as well

I ended up not passing with a 74. Huge disappointment :(. What do you guys think about submitting a score review?
