I plan on graduating this fall and starting to study for the exam in January. I have my 150 hours, but my current job is not in accounting. A friend of mine who is a CPA said he feels he would never had passed had he not had prior work experience in the field. It will be hard for me to switch jobs right away since my wife and I are expecting our first child in February and will need medical insurance for the baby. I know it’s been done, but how much harder do you feel it would be for someone to pass the exam without prior work experience?
