Passed exam under Washington but want California license, when to transfer score

    Hello all,

I recently finished my last CPA exam. I took it under Washington state’s jurisdiction because their processing time was much faster than California’s processing time and I didn’t want to be handcuffed. Now that I passed all the exams, I want to look for a job in California so I can eventually get my license. Does anybody know if I should just transfer the scores to the California board immediately or if I should wait until I actually get the year of work experience?

    Thanks

I wanted to do the same thing. Also I've been planning this before I sat for the exam in Maryland. You must meet the CA requirements BEFORE you sit for your first section of the CPA exam. If you DO NOT then you have to get the license in your jurisdiction and then transfer it to CA that way. California education requirements are a lil bit different but you can read it in their handbook. Also you would be pathway B like me and they told me I can transfer scores anytime so I'm in the system and submit things one item at a time like PETH their prof ethics exam and hours requirement.
