Headline says it all. Maybe Jeff should expand beyond the CPA exam community to a CPA community.

Ask to be a moderator. I'm sure you'll stay plenty busy keeping the peace (who knew accountants could get so worked up about everything!) and categorizing everyone's post that didn't categorize it themselves.

What would a CPA community have?

People are already welcome to post about jobs, tax software, excel, resumes, etc.

I know what you're getting at, though – the pool of posters would be different.

perhaps a sub-forum for CPAs? But you're right Jeff, the general sub-forum usually covers a bunch of separate topics anyways.

I know I def plan on sticking around once I get through this tough exam.

Sorry, but I have to relate it in terms of my mommy forums. It's the equivalent of being on a new mom forum and seeing repeat questions on how to transition children to sippy cups, toddler beds, potty training, etc. versus being on a forum of experienced mothers who are dealing with the more life changing issues like bullying, racial insecurities, teenage sex, etc. A different set of questions and topics for those trying to become CPAs versus those that are CPAs. No more weeding through exam stress posts or “How heavily tested is xxx?” or “Is this score good enough to pass?” or “How many hours should I study for xxx?” because I am sure the further away from the exam you get the less you can remember about how freaked out you were yourself, much like forgetting the pain of childbirth. You are more able to relate to those that are dealing with actually working as a CPA, accounting for situations in real life, job stress, professional questions, etc. It would be more like a networking site for CPAs, which I know exist, but probably aren't as awesome as an AnotherCPA site would be. πŸ™‚

@ tomq04 – I'm everywhere because I'm trying to find the bathroom. Hundreds of forums in this place yet the only thing I can find here is Jeff's 1Direction CD collection.
