Just when I was feeling happy, work and personal issues just blow up. Came home early and haven’t gotten out of bed since…just venting I guess…

I'm with G3 (CONGRATSSSSSSSS!!!) I never tell my score to anyone except my husband…
I'm a very social person, so I've had to tell people I'm studying. They really have no idea what day I'm testing on… I try to keep it a secert.. Sometimes I even tell them I moved it back to the next window….

February 5, 2014 at 4:37 pm #509596AnonymousInactiveYou've got this teetee! I really appreciate that my parents and husband understand how hard this is and are ready to celebrate after each pass. Not too many people get it. I swear they think it's like a college class that you blindly attend for a semester and do just enough studying to pass. Yeah–not at all. I've got a lot riding on this. My husband won't consider a new house until I pass and I want to move to a better school district before my oldest starts kindergarten in August. I get a raise when I pass. I'm taking a cruise in September and would rather celebrate being done than hiding in my cabin studying for a FAR or REG retake. The last cruise I took was such bad timing that I was in the cabin writing a paper for an MBA class while everyone else was spending time celebrating with the bride and groom. I don't want a repeat of that trip. Bleh. And on top of all that, more importantly than any of that other stuff–I just want time with my kids back. We can do this Teetee!!! FAR is ours in February! (or maybe April, but I'm still shooting for February!!!) π

February 5, 2014 at 6:41 pm #509551AnonymousInactiveKitty gave the best advice in this entire thread: “So yeah….expectations…. guess it's better to have none…… :(” The truth is, no one gives a flying fugazi about you except you (and maybe your momma π ). I didn't tell anyone I was even scheduling/taking the exam except my girlfriend at the time. We are both extremely competitive people, so it would be like, “what'd you get on FAR; 88; oh, I got a 92 ;)”, she made some crack about me getting an easy exam…don't think I talked to her for about a week. Then I think she scored better than me on AUD and REG and I probably downplayed it. Of course, we both congratulated each other when all 4 were passed, but of course, because of some prior work experience, I got licensed before her ;). Continued into work though, first year, I was a “2”, she was a “1”; second year, I was a “1” she was a “2”. Shockingly, we're not together anymore. Moral of the story: don't date someone as hyper-competitive as yourself that is in the same field as you…it will turn out poorly. Hope that story put a smile on your face…my friends used to laugh about our “dynamic” all the time haha.
Anyway, took FAR in Oct, BEC in Nov, AUD in Jan, and REG in April. Told my folks when all 4 were in the can. Told other people if they asked. Don't read too much into what people do/say…they're either trying to bring you down, or your exhausted, stressed-out, sleep deprived brain is making mountains out of molehills π [it happens!]
